ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an HR Advisor to join our HR team to cover a period of maternity cover. This is a generalist role, and you provide professional practical HR advice and support across the firm, managing general HR queries, including ER casework.

Led by the Head of HR, the core HR team consists of two HR Business Partners, two HR Advisors and a HR Administrator. The wider HR department also comprises a Payroll specialist, an L&D, Benefits & Systems, and Recruitment team.

Due to the nature of this role, we are looking for someone with HR/People Advisor level experience.

Some of your day-to-day tasks will include:

  • Support and lead on generalist HR tasks and provide advice on general HR matters that arise from the business.
  • Lead on Employee Relations processes including probation management, absence, conduct, performance and grievances.
  • Manage flexible working requests, advising employees and managers on the process and seeing the hearing process through from receipt of request to outcome.
  • Manages leave requests in relation to policies, including maternity, paternity and shared parental leave process from beginning to end.
  • Manages the probationary process – including mid review check-ins and advising where capability is not on track.

Note to agencies: We are currently sourcing this role directly.

ABOUT YOU

This is an excellent opportunity for someone already operating at the HR Advisor level (or similar), looking for a new challenge in a supportive, fun and entrepreneurial team. You will be able to call upon solid generalist experience, and your theoretical knowledge of ER legislation and good practice in HR.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
