At Ford, we’re shaping the future of mobility. As we accelerate our transformation toward electric and connected vehicles, our people are at the heart of driving innovation and change. Our HR function plays a vital role in enabling this transformation, partnering with leaders to build an inclusive, high-performance culture where employees can thrive and grow.

Role Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for an HR Advisor to join a global organisation undergoing significant transformation. We have roles at both our Dagenham and Dunton sites. You will work closely with experienced ER practitioners and HR Business Partners, gaining hands-on exposure to case management, employee relations casework, and workplace conflict resolution, while also building broader HR capability across talent management, organisational effectiveness, and HR transformation. This role is ideal for a graduate who wants to develop deep expertise in employee relations as the foundation of a well-rounded HR career.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide direct support in managing employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, dignity at work, and performance-related matters, from initial intake through to resolution
  • Prepare case documentation, investigation notes, and formal correspondence, ensuring accuracy and strict confidentiality throughout
  • Track and monitor case progress, timelines, and outcomes, escalating risks or delays to senior ER colleagues as needed
  • Support investigations by helping to gather evidence, arrange hearings, and liaise with witnesses, managers, and employee representatives
  • Build working knowledge of UK employment law, ACAS guidance, and Ford’s internal ER policies to ensure cases are handled fairly and compliantly
  • Partner with trade union representatives and employee forums where relevant, supporting constructive dialogue and issue resolution
  • Support absence management processes, including tracking trends, managing referrals, and assisting with reporting
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as Occupational Health, Legal, and people managers on complex or sensitive ER matters
  • Contribute to root-cause analysis of recurring ER issues and help design proactive interventions to reduce case volumes

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
