Permanent Opportunity - HR Advisor
Location: Cambridge
Salary: £36,883 - £37,499 per annum
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time (37 hours per week)
Benefits: Local Government Pension Scheme, 27 days annual leave plus public holidays
Venn Group are working with a large and well-established education organisation seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join its People Team.
About the Role
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a high-quality HR service, providing expert advice and guidance across recruitment, employee relations, organisational change, absence management, policy development, and staff development activities.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional HR advice and guidance to managers across a broad range of employee relations matters.
- Support recruitment, selection, onboarding, induction, and probation processes.
- Lead on absence management cases, including Occupational Health referrals and review meetings.
- Advise on disciplinary, grievance, capability, and investigation processes, ensuring compliance with employment legislation and best practice.
- Support organisational change projects, including restructures and TUPE-related activity.
- Assist with job evaluation and workforce planning initiatives.
- Contribute to the development and review of HR policies and procedures.
- Support safeguarding compliance, DBS processes, and maintenance of personnel records.
- Deliver and support HR training for managers and staff.
- Contribute to strategic and operational HR projects across the organisation.

Qualifications

- CIPD qualification, degree-level qualification, or equivalent HR experience.
Required Skills
- Significant experience providing HR advice and support across a wide range of HR matters.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Experience managing employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, capability, and absence processes.
Pay range and compensation package
Salary: £36,883 - £37,499 per annum
