HR Advisor – Manufacturing & Logistics Support

The Role: HR Advisor (Manufacturing & Logistics)
Contract: Fixed-term, 6 months (with potential for permanent progression) Hours: 24 hours per week (4-hour shift Mon-Thu, 5-hour shift Fri)
This position is ideal for an HR professional passionate about supporting operational teams in manufacturing and logistics, working closely with managers, trade union representatives, and employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide end-to-end HR support in managing employee relations cases
- Advise and coach managers on HR policies, tribunals, and people procedures
- Support with performance management, attendance, and disciplinary conduct
- Partner with trade union representatives to ensure positive industrial relations
- Facilitate recruitment, onboarding, training, and offboarding processes
- Contribute to employee engagement initiatives and site events
- Deliver HR projects, plans, and continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation, health & safety, and company policies
- Maintain accurate HR records and employee documentation
- Assist with data integrity for payroll functions

What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking an HR Advisor with:
- Previous experience in employee relations (case management, grievances, disciplinary processes)
- Familiarity with unionised work environments (highly preferred)
- CIPD Level 3 qualification or equivalent HR experience
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships across all business levels
- Highly organised, able to prioritise and manage multiple projects
- Confident in working independently and as part of a team
- Experience in manufacturing or logistics is a plus (not essential)
