Full-Time – Hybrid – Nottingham
Salary: £35,000 - £42,000

Are you an experienced HR professional who enjoys supporting managers, navigating employee relations, and delivering an outstanding HR service? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same? We are delighted to be supporting a well-established business in the search for an experienced HR Advisor. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive HR team and play a key role in delivering a professional, high-quality HR service across the organisation.

This role offers a varied mix of employee relations, policy development, recruitment support, and HR administration, giving you the opportunity to make a real impact on the employee experience while ensuring compliance with employment legislation and HR best practice.

The Opportunity

As a trusted member of the HR team, you will provide expert advice and guidance to managers and employees across a broad range of HR matters. You'll be responsible for managing employee relations cases, supporting recruitment, maintaining HR policies, and helping to create a positive and engaging workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a wide range of employee relations casework, including absence management, disciplinary, grievance, probation, and flexible working cases
  • Coach, support, and advise managers on people management issues, building confidence and capability
  • Review and update HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with employment legislation and HR best practice
  • Support employee engagement, wellbeing, and recognition initiatives, including the annual employee survey
  • Provide guidance throughout recruitment and selection processes
  • Produce clear and effective HR communications for employees and managers
  • Maintain accurate HR records and employee data, ensuring GDPR compliance
  • Produce HR reports and analyse people data to identify trends and support business decisions
  • Ensure all employee changes are processed accurately and communicated to payroll
  • Keep up to date with employment legislation and emerging HR best practice, driving continuous improvement across the HR function

We're looking for a proactive and knowledgeable HR professional who enjoys building strong relationships, providing practical advice, and delivering an exceptional HR service. You'll bring:

  • Experience in a similar HR Advisor or HR Generalist role
  • Proven experience managing a broad range of employee relations cases
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • The ability to coach and influence managers at all levels
  • High levels of discretion with the ability to manage confidential information professionally
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
