Contract Type: Part time (18.75), Fixed term 6 months
Location: Brighton Head Office, Brighton - Remote

We are seeking an experienced HR professional to join us on a temporary basis to support a range of people-related projects and organisational initiatives across multiple directorates. The role will involve supporting consultation activity, attending meetings, and ensuring accurate documentation and record-keeping throughout.

In addition, you will provide HR Advisory support, managing an assigned Employee Relations caseload across a range of informal and formal matters. Working closely with managers, you will deliver practical HR guidance and support in line with company policies, procedures and employment legislation, helping to achieve positive outcomes for both the business and employees.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Support the delivery of a restructuring project across different directorates.

Responsibilities include:

  • Schedule consultation meetings
  • Issue correspondence – letters, organise consultation packs.
  • Attend consultation meetings – individual and collective
  • Provide support and guidance to managers
  • Accurate note taking during consultation meetings
  • Distribute notes for review and agreement. Ensure an agreed final version for record.
  • Respond to employee queries and sign post for appropriate support

  • Manage assigned employee relations caseload which may include disciplinary, grievance, capability (performance/ill health) up to dismissal.
  • Conduct Occupational Health Referrals and support managers to implement recommendations.
  • Support manager’s to effectively manage employee performance during probation periods.
  • Provide guidance to employees on flexible working, family friendly, wellbeing matters or signpost as appropriate
  • Provide advice in line with relevant legislation, organisational policies and procedures.
  • Ensure accurate and timely record keeping of informal and formal cases in line with procedures.

ABOUT YOU

  • Professional HR qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Redundancy guidance and support
  • Experience of managing disciplinaries, capability, probation and grievance processes.
  • Experience working in a fast pace commercial organisational environment.
  • Experience of working with different levels of management capability and across different functions
  • Experience of delivering HR advice in accordance with defined procedures
  • Experience of managing an assigned ER caseload.
  • UK Employment Law Legislation
  • Ability to build positive relationships
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
