This role
As our HR Advisor, you’ll be working with the HR Manager and will be instrumental in shaping exceptional HR guidance to our UK-based customers, helping them confidently navigate UK employment challenges.
Working hours: This role requires availability for customer calls between 9 AM and 5 PM.
Your Key Focus Areas Will Be
- Delivering top-tier, practical HR and workplace advice to UK customers across various industries.
- Maintaining compliant HR documentation, policies, and templates aligned with UK employment law changes.
- Building strong client relationships through dedicated support, regular check-ins, and proactive guidance.
- Supporting promotion and innovation by assisting the Sales team and creating engaging HR content.

This Will Include
- Delivering clear, accurate, and practical HR advice via calls, Zendesk, and Gmail, escalating complex cases to the HR Manager or legal team as necessary.
- Drafting, reviewing, and maintaining HR templates, letters, and policies for various industries.
- Conducting detailed HR compliance reviews of customers' policies to meet legal and business needs, while staying updated on UK employment law changes.
- Scheduling regular check-ins and collecting customer feedback to spot trends, address challenges, and improve advisory services.
- Supporting the Sales team on prospect calls to showcase the value of our HR Advisory services.
- Designing and updating engaging HR content for customer emails, Help Centre guides, blogs, and socials.
Who You Are
To thrive at Employment Hero, you’ll need to embody The EH Way - operating with focus, agility, and an obsession with impact. For this role, you’ll also bring:
- A proven track record of interpreting legislation to develop practical, compliant HR policies for micro businesses to SMEs across multiple industries (including not-for-profits).
- Level 5 CIPD qualification or equivalent experience.
- Experience supporting or leading processes relating to trade unions, M&A, TUPE transfers, settlement agreements, and conciliations.
- Excellent communication, quick-thinking, and time management skills to influence leadership and non-HR professionals on complex employment matters.
- A passion for learning, staying updated with employment legislation, and flexibility to work across different time zones in a remote setting.
- (Desirable) Availability to start ASAP, experience advising Scottish businesses, and knowledge of Zendesk, Google Workspace, and Employment Hero.
