HR Advisor - 12 Month FTC (Maternity Cover)
Job Introduction
Our client is a leading UK organisation within the health and social care sector, dedicated to improving outcomes for vulnerable individuals through frontline and support services. To maintain a high-performing, engaged workforce, they are seeking an HR Advisor to join a busy transactional People Team.
This is a remote role. Access to a London or Manchester office would be ideal for occasional in-person collaboration (around one day per week), but this is not essential - candidates working fully remotely will be considered.
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract, covering maternity leave.
Role Responsibility
- Acting as first point of contact for ER guidance, providing transactional advice and support to frontline managers and area management teams
- Coaching managers to build their confidence and capability in handling their own queries
- Applying a thorough understanding of the disciplinary and grievance process, supporting the management of conduct and performance concerns
- Handling disciplinary activity up to and including gross misconduct cases, with confidence to escalate where required
- Delivering training to line managers on key policies and process changes, including inducting and coaching managers into new ways of working
- Using management information to identify trends and drive action
- Maintaining accurate data records using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with iTrent is beneficial

- At least 12 months' experience as an HR Advisor supporting a busy operation, with solid case management experience
- TUPE experience is essential
- CIPD Level 5 would be advantageous
- Confident managing a busy and varied caseload
- A strong team player, comfortable supporting colleagues and turning their hand to a range of tasks, including administrative support
- Someone who values getting the job done over hierarchy or status
Contract & Salary
- 12-month FTC (maternity cover)
- Up to £40,000
- Remote working, with occasional office access in London or Manchester desirable
