HR Advisor 12-month contract | London City | Hybrid
Our client, a global financial services firm, is looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join its global HR team, supporting a large and complex business. This is a broad generalist role, combining day-to-day HR advisory support with involvement in people projects, organisational change and wider HR initiatives. You’ll work closely with Senior HR Business Partners and HR Centres of Excellence, supporting managers and employees across a range of HR matters while gaining exposure to a broader strategic HR environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide first-line HR advice to managers and employees across the employee lifecycle, including employee relations matters.
- Support Senior HR Business Partners with key people priorities and annual HR processes, including performance, compensation, talent reviews, promotions and workforce planning.
- Support HR projects and initiatives including organisational change, employee engagement, DE&I and continuous improvement.
- Analyse people data and produce reports, dashboards and presentations to support HR and business decision-making.
- Support the implementation of technology and AI-enabled solutions to improve HR processes and employee experience.
- Collaborate with HR Centres of Excellence and global HR colleagues to deliver people initiatives consistently.
- Build strong relationships with managers and senior stakeholders, developing a good understanding of the business and its people priorities.

- Experience working in a generalist HR Advisor role, with broad exposure across the employee lifecycle.
- Confident providing practical HR advice to managers and employees.
- Experience supporting employee relations and HR processes.
- Experience or interest in HR projects, organisational change and continuous improvement.
- Strong Excel and analytical skills, with experience working with people data and producing reports.
- A confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Based in the City of London, with 3 days per week in the office, plus attendance at our client’s Surrey office once a week or once every two weeks.
