We’re recruiting for an HR Advisor to join a growing business in Birmingham. This is a varied, hands-on role combining generalist HR responsibilities with a strong focus on recruitment.

Please read the information in this job post thoroughly to understand exactly what is expected of potential candidates.

The successful candidate will take ownership of vacancies from initial brief through to sourcing, screening, interviews, offers and onboarding, while also providing day-to-day HR and employee relations support.

About The Candidate

We’re looking for someone with a solid generalist HR background and, importantly, strong hands-on recruitment experience. You’ll be confident managing vacancies independently, proactively sourcing candidates and working closely with hiring managers to deliver the right results.

You’ll also be comfortable supporting employee relations and wider HR matters, with strong communication and organisational skills and a good understanding of UK employment legislation. A CIPD qualification, or working towards one, would be an advantage.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
