About The Role
The HR Advisor at Senior Salmon plays a pivotal role in shaping the organization’s human resources strategy and ensuring the effective delivery of HR services across the business. This position involves providing comprehensive HR generalist advice and support on a wide range of strategic and operational people matters. The successful candidate will work closely with business leaders to implement HR initiatives that support organizational growth, promote a positive workplace culture, and align with legal and statutory requirements. This role requires a proactive approach to employee engagement, organizational development, and compliance, with a focus on fostering an inclusive environment that encourages diversity and respect. As an HR Advisor, you will be instrumental in driving key HR processes such as performance management, talent development, succession planning, and employee relations, ensuring these initiatives contribute to the company’s overall business objectives.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a relevant degree or equivalent HR experience, with a strong understanding of HR policies, processes, and best practices. Professional qualification such as CIPD Level 5 or equivalent is highly desirable, or candidates working towards this qualification will also be considered. Demonstrated experience working within complex organizations, preferably within the manufacturing sector, is essential. Candidates should have a solid grasp of change management principles, project management skills, and the ability to link HR strategies with broader business objectives. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills are required, along with strong business acumen. The role also demands a proactive mindset, ability to work independently, and a collaborative team approach.

Responsibilities
The HR Advisor will be responsible for supporting and executing a broad spectrum of HR initiatives, including:
- Collaborating with business leaders to support strategic objectives and cultivate a positive organizational culture rooted in diversity, inclusion, and mutual respect.
- Championing HR initiatives such as employee advocacy, organizational design, talent review, and succession planning.
- Driving key HR processes including performance management, leadership development, and talent management to meet current and future business needs.
- Developing and implementing HR policies and procedures in collaboration with the HR team to support sustainable business growth.
- Monitoring and analyzing HR metrics to align with business performance indicators and identify areas for improvement.
- Providing guidance on legislative, regulatory, and compliance issues, ensuring adherence to company policies and statutory requirements.
- Leading and facilitating employee engagement initiatives, including surveys, reward programs, mentoring, and union meetings.
- Maintaining awareness of employment legislation and updating management on relevant changes.
- Offering counsel on employee relations issues, investigations, and conflict resolution to foster a harmonious workplace environment.
- Ensuring the efficient execution of HR administrative functions, including record keeping, reporting, and compliance documentation.
