People Data Analyst (FTC to December 2027)

Location: Newcastle
Hours: Monday - Friday, Full Time
Contract: Fixed Term Contract until December 2027
Salary: £50,000 plus 10% Annual Bonus

We are delighted to be supporting a leading organisation in the recruitment of a People Data Analyst to join their People & Culture team. This is an excellent opportunity for a data-focused professional to play a key role in a major HR systems transformation project, ensuring employee data is accurate, reliable and ready for HCM implementation.

Working closely with People Services, IT and business stakeholders, you will support data cleansing, reporting, analytics and dashboard development, helping the organisation make informed people decisions through high-quality data and insight.

The Role

As a People Data Analyst, you will be responsible for improving data quality, supporting system implementation activities and delivering meaningful people reporting across the business.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Cleansing, validating and maintaining people data across multiple business areas
  • Identifying and resolving data quality issues, inconsistencies and gaps
  • Supporting HCM implementation through data mapping, testing and migration activities
  • Producing regular and ad-hoc reports, workforce analytics and management information
  • Assisting with the development and maintenance of Power BI dashboards
  • Analysing data to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement
  • Working with stakeholders to improve reporting accuracy and data governance
  • Ensuring employee data is managed in line with GDPR and company policies

About You

We are looking for a highly organised and analytical individual with experience working with HR, workforce or operational data.

You Will Bring

  • Previous experience in a Data Analyst, People Analyst, HRIS or Reporting role
  • Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables and data reconciliation
  • Experience working with large datasets and producing meaningful reports
  • Strong data quality, validation and analytical skills
  • Experience supporting system implementations, migrations or transformation projects
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools would be advantageous
  • Knowledge of GDPR and handling confidential data
