HR and Payroll Coordinator - Gainsborough

£competitive DOE & quals - plus GREAT bens. 4 or 5 days a week considered. Commutable from Retford, Doncaster, Worksop, Lincoln

Your new role

This is a brand new role - and addition to the current HR Team due to projects and expansion.

The HR and Payroll Coordinator will be responsible for assisting with a broad range of operational HR Services and payroll. Providing support in payroll administration, HR systems management, workforce data analytics and HR operations.

Working in partnership with the Payroll Supervisor, the role plays a key part in ensuring payroll accuracy, maintaining data integrity and driving continuous improvement across HR systems and processes.

You will also support with a broad range of operational HR Services, including HR administration, recruitment, training and day-to-day employee relations. This is a hands-on role, requiring a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. This role will ensure the efficient and compliant delivery of HR and Payroll processes while providing high quality support to employees across the business. Working within a small team, the role will report directly to the Head of HR.

You will also assist with the HR projects that arise - several are planned for the next 12-18 months.

This is an excellent opportunity for a current Payroll / HR Assistant to join a well-established business, who is looking to further develop their career into the HR Advisory space.

Working Pattern

  • Open to 4 or 5 days per week
  • If 4 days: will be fully site-based; working days will need to align with existing team coverage, so flexibility is limited
  • If 5 days: 1 day per week working from home (subject to team rota/coverage)
  • Core hours are 08:30 - 17:00, Monday to Friday

What you'll need to succeed

The successful applicant will have:

  • Previous experience in a payroll
  • Previous experience in HR systems, HR operations or HR administration role. Systems optimisation improvement would be advantageous.
  • Experience administering HR and payroll systems, maintaining employee records and ensuring data accuracy.
  • Strong understanding of payroll processes, statutory payments, pensions and payroll controls.
  • Experience producing HR and Payroll reports, analysing data and maintaining management information.
  • Experience supporting employee lifecycle administration and HR operations.
  • Good understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice.
