Recruitment stalls when the small things get missed. A background check that isn’t chased. A half-finished record. An interview invite sent out late. Your job is to make sure those things don’t happen.
You’ll coordinate recruitment administration, support safer recruitment checks, maintain accurate records and help managers and candidates receive a clear, responsive service.
You’ll work closely with our Talent Acquisition Partner, People Operations Partner, HR colleagues and managers across college. Your job is all about progressing our jobs, supporting compliance and making sure recruitment feels organised, professional and fair.
If you’re someone who enjoys a busy environment and can focus on detail and follow through at the same time. You'll take ownership, spot what's missing and keep things moving without being asked.
What you'll do
- Coordinate recruitment administration from vacancy approval to appointment.
- Prepare and publish adverts using templates and recruitment systems.
- Arrange interviews, send invites and keep candidates up to date.
- Maintain accurate recruitment records, vacancy trackers and system updates.
- Coordinate pre-employment checks including identity, right to work, references, qualifications and DBS.
- Support accuracy of safer recruitment records and our Single Central Record.
- Escalate missing, delayed or concerning information promptly.
- Support wider HR administration.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
