Are you curious about people, organised by nature, and looking for the first step in a rewarding HR career?

We're looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious HR Apprentice to join our HR team at Nidec Drives.

This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a fast-paced manufacturing business while completing a structured development programme designed to help you build a successful career in Human Resources.

You'll work alongside experienced HR professionals, supporting key people processes across attendance management, employee relations, onboarding, HR administration, training and development, and people data reporting.

This role offers the opportunity for a clear pathway into an HR, subject to successful completion of apprenticeship and probation period.

What You'll Be Doing

As an HR Apprentice, you'll gain exposure to a wide range of HR activities, including:

  • Supporting attendance and absence management processes
  • Maintaining HR systems and employee records
  • Preparing contracts, letters and employment documentation
  • Assisting with onboarding activities for new employees
  • Producing HR reports and analysing people data
  • Supporting employee wellbeing initiatives
  • Scheduling meetings and managing HR documentation
  • Learning how HR supports both employees and managers across the business

Experience using Microsoft Office 365

Previous experience in a customer-facing environment

An understanding of the importance of confidentiality

Travel Requirements

Travel between our sites in Newtown and Telford may be expected as necessary for training and/or business requirements.
