Are you looking to build your career in Human Resources within a fast-paced and growing operation? Here at GXO, we're recruiting for an HR Assistant to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in Human Resources, gaining exposure across the full employee lifecycle while supporting both colleagues and managers daily. Working closely with the People team, you'll play a key role in delivering an efficient and professional HR service, helping to ensure colleagues receive a positive experience throughout their employment journey.

We’re offering a salary of £27,000.00 per annum, plus 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). Your benefits package includes a company sponsored pension scheme, life assurance and access to our benefits platform, including retail discounts.

  • Support the management and monitoring of absence processes, ensuring records are accurate, up to date and maintained in line with company policies
  • Provide general HR administration support, including preparing letters, employee documentation and correspondence to support people processes across the site
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding activities, ensuring new starters and leavers are processed accurately and efficiently
  • Support employee relations administration, including minute taking, report preparation and assisting with people-related casework where required
  • Support employee engagement, wellbeing and site initiatives while responding to HR-related queries in a professional and timely manner

What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • Previous HR administration experience or transferable experience within an administrative, customer service or people-focused role
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across all levels of the business
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications, with confidence working with systems and data
  • A positive, proactive approach with a genuine interest in developing a long-term career within Human Resources
