HR Assistant for International Brand

Birmingham City Centre - Parking onsite - Office Based

We are seeking an organised and proactive HR Assistant to join our Client. This is a vital role supporting the UK HR BP, helping to ensure HR compliance and supporting a positive employee experience from recruitment through to exit. This role is a people facing role that is the heart of the team. The role is newly created so an ample opportunity for growth.

The role combines day-to-day HR administration with opportunities to support wider HR projects, employee relations, and initiatives that enhance our workplace culture.

  • Assisting with the recruitment process – advertising vacancies, coordinating interviews, conducting background and right-to-work checks, and preparing new starter documentation.
  • Supporting onboarding for new employees, including those joining through acquisitions and mergers.
  • Supporting with payroll nationally.
  • Conducting exit interviews and assisting in gathering feedback for retention improvements.
  • Acting as the first point of contact for employee queries relating to HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
  • Helping manage employee records and databases.
  • Supporting with updating employment policies and drafting new ones where required.
  • Assisting in implementing employee benefits, wellness, and performance management programmes.
  • Coordinating training sessions, workshops, and in-house development initiatives.
  • Producing HR reports and contributing to People & Culture projects.
  • Organising HR-related events and supporting internal communication activities.

Applicants will have:

  • Previous HR Assistant experience looking to grow their career in HR. You will have some knowledge of UK employment law and HR processes.
