HR Assistant

Location

Negotiable across BFL locations including Tewkesbury, Norwich, and Exeter

We are recruiting for 2 positions: 1 Permanent and 1 FTC until August 2027

What You'll Be Doing

As HR Assistant, you will:

  • Provide first-line administrative support to HR Business Partners and Assistant HR Business Partners.
  • Act as a professional and welcoming first point of contact for HR queries from colleagues, managers, and candidates.
  • Support employee relations cases, including preparing documentation and taking meeting minutes.
  • Maintain accurate HR records, systems, and documentation while ensuring confidentiality at all times.
  • Produce HR reports and support the management of HR data.
  • Work closely with recruitment, payroll, benefits, and colleague lifecycle teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and share recommendations with the wider HR team.
  • Help ensure HR processes are easy to navigate and deliver a positive experience for colleagues across the business.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience in an administrative, people support, or HR support role.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Experience maintaining accurate records and working with HR or business systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience delivering a customer-focused service and responding to queries professionally.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
