Robert Walters is working with a highly regarded mid-sized law firm in London and seeking an HR Assistant to join its collaborative and highly supportive HR team. Known for its excellent culture and reputation within the legal sector, the firm offers a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious HR professional looking to broaden their experience across the full employee lifecycle.

This London based HR Assistant role will provide exposure to a wide range of HR activities, including payroll, benefits, recruitment, employee relations administration, and HR projects. The successful candidate will join a friendly and close-knit team where ideas are welcomed, and continuous improvement is encouraged.

The Role

As an HR Assistant, you will support the delivery of an efficient and employee-focused HR service across the firm's London office. Working closely with HR colleagues and stakeholders, you will play a key role in ensuring a positive employee experience from onboarding through to offboarding.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding and offboarding activities
  • Maintaining accurate employee records and HR systems
  • Assisting with monthly payroll processes and benefits administration
  • Coordinating recruitment activity, including interview scheduling and candidate communication
  • Responding to HR queries from employees and managers
  • Supporting HR projects and process improvement initiatives
  • Preparing HR documentation, reports, and correspondence
  • Assisting with compliance and policy administration

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 1 year's HR experience, ideally gained within professional services, legal services, financial services, or a similar corporate environment
  • Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail
  • A proactive, ideas-driven and solution-oriented approach
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • A genuine passion for developing a career in Human Resources
