The Role

As a HR Assistant, you will provide administrative support across the employee lifecycle, helping to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the HR function. Working closely with the HR team, you will assist with a range of HR activities, including recruitment, onboarding, employee records, and general HR administration.

Your responsibilities will include assisting with the creation of job descriptions and job advertisements, posting vacancies, carrying out pre-employment checks including references, background screening, and Right to Work checks, and maintaining accurate employee records within the HR information system. You will also support the onboarding and offboarding process by updating starter and leaver records, coordinating offboarding arrangements, and assisting with the maintenance of HR documentation.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is highly organised, has strong attention to detail, and is looking to start a career in HR within a supportive and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment Support

  • Assisting in the recruitment process by posting job openings, supporting in screening CVs, and coordinating interviews.
  • Support job ad posting on platforms such as Indeed and LinkedIn.
  • Maintain recruitment databases.

Employee Records

  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personal information, attendance, and other relevant data.
  • Managing employee files and ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.

Attendance

  • Monitoring and tracking employee attendance, leaves, and time-off requests and holidays.
  • Generating reports related to attendance and leave balances.

Training and Development

  • Coordinating training sessions and workshops for employees.
  • Assisting in the development of training materials and tracking employee training completion.

Compliance

  • Assisting with ensuring compliance with employment laws, company policies, and other relevant regulations.
  • Assisting in audits as required.

Communication

  • Drafting and disseminating internal communications related to events and updates.
  • Supporting other departments to facilitate effective communication.

Performance Management

  • Supporting the performance appraisal process by collecting and organizing performance review data.
  • Assisting in the implementation of performance improvement plans as needed.

Miscellaneous Administrative Tasks

  • Handling general administrative tasks such as filing and managing HR-related email correspondence.
  • Assisting with HR projects as assigned.
