Job Type: Full-time - Hybrid
We are seeking an HR Business Partner to provide a high-quality, customer-focused HR service to managers and staff. This role involves advising on day-to-day HR issues, recommending people management solutions, and supporting the efficient delivery of organisational and service area objectives.
Day-to-day Of The Role
- Provide policy-related advice to managers and employees on HR and people management issues, including terms and conditions of employment and employee relations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR policies, procedures, legislation, and best practices.
- Assist in managing organisational changes, including drafting job descriptions, person specifications, and structure charts.
- Manage absence records, support absence review meetings, and provide guidance on absence management policies and processes.
- Handle casework related to performance management, disciplinary actions, and grievances, providing advice and guidance to managers and staff.
- Prepare and check contracts of employment and handle contractual variations.
- Offer advice on family-friendly policies and procedures such as maternity, paternity, adoption, and shared parental leave.
- Support recruitment exercises, including designing and delivering recruitment processes.
- Develop systems, practices, and procedures to provide an effective HR service and support continuous improvement.
- Undertake payroll system administration and ensure accurate payroll processes.
- Develop content for the HR pages on the organisation's internet and intranet sites.
- Advise on job evaluation processes and chair job evaluation panels as required.
- Support the Disclosure and Barring Service renewal process and respond to internal and external data requests.

- Proven experience in HR, with the ability to handle both standard and complex cases.
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of advising and supporting staff at all levels.
- Experience in managing organisational change and supporting recruitment processes.
- Competency in HR systems and payroll administration.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
