Job Role: Employee Relations Partner

Location: Colchester

Salary: £48,000 Per Annum

Hours: Full time, Hybrid working

We are recruiting an Employee Relations Partner to provide expert, practical ER support to managers and leaders within a fast-paced, regulated environment. This is a hands-on role managing complex ER casework while supporting best practice people management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide timely ER advice to managers via phone, written and in-person support
  • Manage a high volume of complex ER cases including disciplinaries, grievances, absence, capability, whistleblowing, redundancy, TUPE and change management
  • Coach and support managers, balancing commercial needs with employment law best practice
  • Review and quality-check investigation reports, letters and ER documentation
  • Support ACAS early conciliation and Employment Tribunal cases
  • Maintain accurate ER case records and reporting
  • Identify ER trends and contribute to policy, process and template improvements
  • Support ER training delivery and ad-hoc projects

About You

  • Minimum 2 years’ employee relations casework experience
  • Strong working knowledge of current UK employment law
  • Experience managing complex, high-volume ER cases
  • Confident communicator with strong influencing and coaching skills
  • Well organised, detail-focused and able to work under pressure
  • CIPD qualified or working towards (desirable)
  • ACAS / Employment Tribunal experience (desirable)
