HR Business Partner
Location: Hybrid / 3 days per week in Leeds office

Assured Data Protection is a global leader in data backup and disaster recovery managed services, specialising in safeguarding against data loss and downtime in the event of a disaster, cyber, or ransomware attack. Our fully managed services include immutable backup, disaster recovery, and cyber resiliency to protect data on-premises and in the cloud, with 24/7/365 expert support.
The Role
We are seeking a growth-minded HR Business Partner who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys balancing strategic people initiatives with day-to-day operational HR delivery. This person will be part of the larger HR organisation but will be the only HRBP in our UK office, alongside our Learning and Development Team. The remainder of the HR team sits in the US.
This role owns the full employee lifecycle, partnering closely with leaders across the organisation to drive employee engagement, talent development, performance management, employee relations, compliance, recruitment, and organisational effectiveness.
The successful candidate will be a member of the HR team, a trusted advisor to leadership, and a hands-on practitioner capable of delivering HR activities independently.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Partnership
- Partner with business leaders to align people strategy with business objectives.
- Coach managers on leadership, performance, engagement, organisational design, and workforce planning.
- Provide insight and recommendations using people data and metrics.
- Support change management initiatives and organisational growth.

Employee Lifecycle Management
- Manage onboarding and induction programs.
- Support employee development and career progression initiatives.
- Oversee offboarding processes and exit interviews.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
Employee Relations
- Act as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters.
- Conduct investigations, disciplinary and grievance processes.
- Provide guidance on employment legislation and company policies.
- Manage sensitive people matters with professionalism and confidentiality.
Performance & Development
- Lead performance review and goal-setting processes.
- Support managers in addressing performance challenges.
- Partner with L&D and HR Operations to create learning and development initiatives.

- Support salary benchmarking and reward reviews.
- Manage benefits programmes and vendor relationships.
- Provide guidance on compensation decisions and internal equity.
HR Operations & Compliance
- Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation and data privacy requirements.
- Manage HR systems, reporting, and people analytics.
- Support payroll processes in partnership with Finance or external providers.
Culture & Employee Experience
- Drive employee engagement initiatives.
- Develop programmes that reinforce company values and culture.
- Lead wellbeing and diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
- Act as an ambassador for a positive employee experience.

Skills & Experience
Essential
- 5+ years' HR generalist or HR Business Partner experience.
- Experience working within a technology, SaaS, software, IT services, or high-growth environment.
- Strong understanding of employment law and HR best practices.
- Experience managing employee relations cases independently.
- Full lifecycle recruitment experience across multiple functions.
- Ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- Experience working autonomously with minimal supervision.
Desirable
- Experience supporting international employees.
- Experience implementing HR processes in scaling businesses.
- Familiarity with HRIS platforms.
