About The Role
We are partnering with The Portfolio Group to recruit an experienced People Business Partner who will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the organization’s people strategies. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with senior leadership to influence and drive key HR initiatives that align with business objectives. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert guidance on a wide range of HR matters, including employee relations, organizational change, workforce planning, and talent development. This is a strategic and hands-on role that requires a high level of professionalism, stakeholder management, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, complex environment. The role also involves championing innovative HR solutions, leveraging data and technology, and supporting the organization’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Qualifications
- CIPD Level 7 qualification or equivalent and be a Chartered CIPD member.
- Proven experience operating as a senior HR or People Business Partner within highly regulated, project-based environments such as engineering, infrastructure, nuclear, or consultancy sectors.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and practical application.
- Extensive experience in managing complex employee relations cases independently, supporting organizational change initiatives, and influencing senior stakeholders effectively.
- Excellent analytical skills, coupled with exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a passion for continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Partner with senior leaders to develop and implement people plans that support the organization’s strategic goals.
- Provide commercially focused HR advice, challenge, and support to stakeholders at all levels of the business.
- Manage complex employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, performance management, absence, restructures, redundancy, and TUPE matters, ensuring compliance and best practice.
- Support and facilitate organizational change initiatives, workforce planning, and transformation programs to drive business agility and efficiency.
- Analyze people data and trends to provide insights and inform strategic decision-making, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Drive consistency and continuous improvement across HR processes, policies, and practices to enhance operational efficiency.
- Coach and develop managers to strengthen leadership capabilities and people management skills.
- Contribute to wider HR projects including organizational design, talent initiatives, diversity and inclusion programs, and process optimization.
- Champion the integration of technology, data analytics, and emerging tools such as AI to enhance HR services and business outcomes.
