About The Role

We are partnering with a leading international engineering and project management organization to recruit an experienced People Business Partner. This pivotal role is designed for a strategic HR professional who thrives in dynamic, high-pressure environments and possesses a deep understanding of complex employee relations, organizational change, and workforce planning. As a trusted advisor to senior leadership, you will play a crucial role in shaping and executing people strategies that align with the organization's long-term goals. The role offers an excellent opportunity to influence business outcomes directly, support transformational initiatives, and enhance employee engagement across a diverse and highly regulated sector.

Qualifications

  • CIPD Level 7 qualification or equivalent, with Chartered CIPD membership.
  • Proven experience as a senior HR or People Business Partner, ideally within consultancy, engineering, infrastructure, nuclear, or other highly regulated project-based environments.
  • Extensive expertise in employee relations, including managing complex and sensitive cases independently.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and its practical application in a corporate setting.
  • Experience supporting organizational change, restructuring, and transformation projects.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and challenge senior leaders effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in using people data to inform strategic decisions.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior leaders to develop and implement people plans that support overall business objectives and growth strategies.
  • Provide expert, commercially focused HR advice and challenge to stakeholders at all levels, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Lead and manage complex employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, performance management, absence issues, restructures, redundancies, and TUPE transfers, ensuring compliance and best practice.
  • Support organizational change initiatives, workforce planning, and transformation programs to facilitate smooth transitions and sustainable growth.
  • Analyze workforce data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement, risk mitigation, and strategic development.
  • Drive consistency across HR processes, policies, and practices to ensure fairness, compliance, and operational efficiency.
  • Coach and develop managers, enhancing leadership capabilities and effective people management skills across teams.
  • Contribute to broader HR projects, including organizational design, talent acquisition, diversity and inclusion initiatives, and process optimization.
  • Champion the integration of technology, data analytics, and emerging tools such as AI to enhance HR service delivery and business outcomes.
