JOB TITLE: HR Business Partner
REPORTING TO: Group HR Director
LOCATION: Home based with requirement to travel across the south region
TERMS: Full-time, Permanent
HOURS: 40 hours per week
SALARY: £45,000 - £55,000 (Dependent on experience) plus car allowance of £4,200
Job Purpose:
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) acts as a strategic partner to the business, aligning HR strategies and practices with organisational objectives. You will work closely with senior leaders and Home Managers to develop and implement initiatives that improve performance, foster a high-performance culture, and ensure compliance with UK employment law and best practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with business leaders to develop and deliver the people strategy that supports business objectives.
- Provide expert HR advice and coaching to managers on employee relations, performance, talent development, and organisational change.
- Lead or support on key HR projects, such as restructuring, TUPE, workforce planning, or culture change.
- Manage complex employee relations cases in line with UK employment law, ACAS guidance, and internal policy.
- Collaborate with HR Centres of Excellence (CoEs) in areas such as recruitment, learning & development.
- Analyse HR data and metrics to identify trends and support evidence-based decision-making.
- Support diversity, equity & inclusion (DEI) initiatives across the business.
- Champion employee engagement and support initiatives to improve colleague experience.
- Ensure HR policies and procedures are applied consistently and updated in line with legislation and best practice.
- Support talent review and succession planning processes within business units.

Person Specification:
Essential:
- CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent experience); working towards Level 7 is a plus.
- Proven experience in an HR Business Partner in a UK-based organisation.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Ability to influence and build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience managing change, restructures, or organisational development initiatives.
- Strong problem-solving skills and commercial awareness.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office.

- Experience working in a unionised environment.
- Sector experience (e.g., professional services, healthcare, social care may be advantageous).
- Experience with TUPE, redundancy, or managing large-scale ER cases.
