My client is a prestigious university who are looking to recruit a HR Business Partner to cover sickness cover initially for 2 - 4 weeks on a temporary contract.
They offer a hybrid working policy. You will work 3 days per week in their office based in the city with the remainder of the week working from home.
To be considered for the role you will have worked within a higher education environment within a business partnering role. You will need to be CIPD Level 5 or 7 for this role.

Role
- Acting as HR lead for allocated business areas, ensuring best practice
- Advising senior managers on workforce planning, performance, and employee relations
- Supporting recruitment, onboarding, and talent development strategies
- Managing complex HR cases including sickness, grievance, and disciplinary
- Collaborating with corporate HR teams on policy, learning, and job evaluation
- Leading on change projects and representing HR in organisational forums
- Coaching and developing HR team members
- Reviewing data and reports to identify trends and inform decision-making
- Supporting Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives and sustainability projects
- Providing strategic advice on recruitment processes to ensure fairness and inclusivity
- Maintaining oversight of sickness cases and liaising with Occupational Health
- Participating in HR cyclical processes such as performance reviews and safeguarding audits
- Helping design and implement specific HR policies and procedures
