HR Associate – Emerging Talent and Analyst Population
A multi-billion dollar AUM hedge fund is looking to hire a HR Associate into a newly created role with a focus on their emerging talent and Analyst population in London. The firm is widely recognised as one of the most profitable hedge funds in the market and has seen exceptional growth over the past 18 months.
Role Overview
Reporting to a HR Director in London the hire will join a lean team, in a specialist role. The role blends hands-on operations with genuine business partnering. The hire will own the full employee lifecycle for intern, graduate, and analyst populations – onboarding, contract management, performance reviews, conversions, and exits – while also acting as a trusted advisor to line managers on employee experience, talent development, and ER matters. They will partner closely with talent acquisition and L&D to ensure smooth transitions from candidate to high performer, and contribute to engagement initiatives across the early careers programmes.

Key Responsibilities
- Own the full employee lifecycle for intern, graduate, and analyst populations.

Role Focus
The firm has revamped their emerging talent programme, making it a key focus of their growth agenda. The annual intake cycle creates intense peaks – high-volume onboarding, new joiner performance integration, conversion processes, and manager feedback simultaneously. Between those peaks, the focus shifts to process improvement and making the function more data-driven. The hire will be expected to take initiative and work on process improvement initiatives as well as initiatives to improve employee experience and boost retention as well as support managers navigate review and promotion processes.

Candidate Profile
Candidates should have roughly 3-5 years of experience as a HR Associate, Generalist, or HR Operations Analyst ideally within a hedge fund, investment bank, or asset manager, albeit the firm are open to hiring candidates from growing technology firms. The hirer will have very strong stakeholder engagement skills and an excellent academic background.
Compensation and Benefits
This is a crucial hire during a period of growth; hence, the successful candidate can expect a strong increase on current base salary, up to £75k initially, with a bonus that can make up a large % of base for strong performers. The firm will also compensate the successful hire for any loss of earnings from a Q4 resignation.
