Job Description

Leeds Beckett University is an inclusive, vibrant workplace with ambitious plans. Our mission is to be an excellent, accessible, and globally engaged university, contributing positively to a thriving northern economy. We know that tomorrow's challenges will not be addressed by today's thoughts, approaches and mindsets.

We are looking for a proactive, forward-thinking and strategic HR Business Partner (CIPD Level 7 or equivalent experience) with a strong track record of operating at HRBP level within a complex organisation. As this is a fixed-term opportunity, we are seeking an experienced practitioner who can quickly establish credibility, build effective relationships with senior leaders and add value from the outset. Equipped and eager to support senior organisational leaders within a fast-paced and stimulating environment, you will bring the confidence, judgement and expertise to navigate complex people matters.

A thought leader with excellent communication skills, you thrive on making a difference. You are a strong team player with significant change management experience and a demonstrable ability to influence and drive transformational change. You have a proven record of delivering expert, pragmatic and commercially focused solutions across a range of complex employee relations, organisational change and workforce challenges.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
