Pilgrim's Europe is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join our team on a maternity cover contract at our Uxbridge office.
This is a hands-on HR role supporting a fast-paced food manufacturing business, partnering with leaders to drive employee engagement, organisational effectiveness, talent development, and HR best practice. We're looking for someone who can quickly build credibility, manage a varied workload, and add value from day one.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with leadership teams to deliver the people strategy and support business objectives.
- Provide expert guidance on complex employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, absence, and capability cases.
- Support organisational change, workforce planning, succession planning, and talent management activities.
- Coach and influence managers on people matters, performance management, and leadership capability.
- Drive employee engagement, wellbeing, recognition, and inclusion initiatives.
- Analyse HR metrics and trends, recommending solutions to improve performance and engagement.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation, company policies, and HR procedures.
- Support audits and maintain accurate HR systems, records, and reporting.
- Work closely with Recruitment, Learning & Development, Payroll, and wider HR teams.

About You
- Previous HR Business Partner experience within food manufacturing, FMCG, manufacturing, or another fast-paced operational environment.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and employee relations.
- Experience supporting change management and organisational development activities.
- Proven ability to influence and challenge stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong coaching, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Commercially minded with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
- Quick learner who can rapidly understand the business and make an immediate impact.
- Highly organised, resilient, and proactive.

Desirable
- CIPD Level 5 qualified, studying towards qualification, or equivalent experience.
- Food manufacturing or FMCG industry experience.
- Experience supporting site-based operations teams.
- Experience using HR systems such as SAP, ResourceLink, or similar.
