Description
To provide proactive HR business partnering support across Enva's operational businesses, working closely with managers to improve workforce performance, capability, engagement, and compliance. The HR Business Partner will lead complex employee relations activity, support organisational change, workforce planning, and people development initiatives, and drive continuous improvement across HR processes, systems, and governance.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations
- Lead complex employee relations cases including disciplinary, grievance, capability, performance, absence management, investigations, and appeals.
- Support managers through all stages of formal and informal employee relations processes.
- Ensure robust case documentation and maintain accurate ER case tracking.
- Monitor trends in absence, conduct, performance, and employee relations activity, identifying opportunities for preventative action and manager development.
- Liaise with Occupational Health, legal advisors, and external partners where required.
Recruitment, Workforce Planning & Onboarding
- Partner with operational leaders to deliver recruitment plans for operational, technical, engineering, and support functions.
- Coordinate recruitment campaigns, talent pipelines, and succession planning activities.
- Support hiring managers through attraction, assessment, selection, and onboarding processes.
- Ensure a consistent onboarding experience aligned to Enva's values, culture, and compliance requirements.
Policy, Compliance & HR Governance
- Review, draft, and implement HR policies, procedures, and employee documentation in line with legislative and business requirements.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation, right-to-work requirements, and internal governance standards.
- Deliver policy training and guidance to managers and employees.
HR Projects, Change & Continuous Improvement
- Support organisational change programmes including restructures, acquisitions, TUPE transfers, and harmonisation projects.
- Support the implementation and improvement of HR systems, workforce management tools, and reporting processes.
- Drive process standardisation across recruitment, onboarding, attendance, performance, and employee lifecycle activities.
- Participate in HR transformation and continuous improvement initiatives across the business.

Employee Engagement & Culture
- Coordinate employee engagement initiatives, surveys, and action planning.
- Support wellbeing, recognition, and culture programmes aligned to Enva's values.
- Partner with managers to improve employee communication, retention, and workforce stability.
Learning, Development & Management Capability
- Identify development needs through workforce planning and engagement activity.
- Deliver training and coaching on employee relations, absence management, investigations, performance management, and employment law.
- Support leadership development, succession planning, and talent management programmes.
- Provide guidance and support to managers to strengthen people management capability.
HR Systems, Payroll & Data Management
- Act as a key user for HRIS, TMS, and workforce management systems.
- Support payroll processes by validating absence, overtime, and workforce data.
- Ensure employee information is maintained accurately and in a timely manner.
- Produce regular workforce reports and dashboards to support business decisions.
Reporting & Analytics
- Produce, analyse, and present HR metrics including absence, turnover, recruitment, engagement, and employee relations data.
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities and provide recommendations to improve workforce performance.
- Support workforce planning through data-driven insights and reporting.
- Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual people reports.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Qualifications
- CIPD Level 7 qualified or equivalent HR qualification
- Degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Full UK driving licence with the ability to travel across UK and Ireland sites as required.
Technical Competencies
- Strong working knowledge of UK and, where applicable, experience in managing complex employee relations cases.
- Strong HR systems capability with experience of HRIS.
- Advanced data analysis and reporting skills with the ability to identify trends and make evidence-based recommendations.
- Experience supporting payroll processes and workforce data governance.
- Ability to draft, review, and implement HR policies.
- Competent in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.

Experience
- Proven generalist HR experience within a multi-site environment.
- Track record of handling complex employee relations cases.
- Experience delivering HR projects and supporting organisational change.
- Demonstrable experience operating at HR Advisor, Senior HR Advisor, or HR Business Partner level within a complex multi-site environment.
Physical Demands
- Ability to work effectively in both office and operational site environments.
- Ability to travel regularly between business locations across the UK and Ireland.
- Ability to use display screen equipment and HR systems for extended periods.
- Capacity to manage multiple priorities and maintain high standards of accuracy under pressure.
