Role: HR Business Partner
Location: 4 days Birmingham B29 and B24 (across 2 sites) and 1 day home working
Salary: £40,000 – £44,000 dependent on experience

We are delighted to be supporting a respected charitable organisation in recruiting a HR Business Partner to join their established HR team of six. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR generalist to play a key role in delivering a high-quality, solutions-focused HR service for up to 400 employees and 600 volunteers.
As a HR Business Partner you will provide expert advice, coaching and guidance to managers across the full employee lifecycle. You will manage a varied employee relations caseload, support organisational change, contribute to projects such as reviewing policies and digitalisation, and support with delivering training to upskill and coach managers to handle day to day HR matters with confidence.
This role requires strong HR knowledge, excellent relationship-building skills with the confidence to coach and support managers in a compassionate environment. You will be a key contributor to continuous improvement, using data and insights to drive informed decision-making and enhance the employee experience.

This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week, with flexibility around working hours subject to business needs.
This role would allow hybrid working – 4 days office based (2 days in each site location Erdington and Selly Park) and 1 day working from home.
Due to the nature of the working environment, the successful candidate will be required to have a DBS.
Role And Responsibilities
As a HR Business Partner, you will be responsible for providing solutions-focused HR advice and coaching to managers across all employment matters, including conduct, capability, sickness, grievance and organisational change.
- Manage a small employee relations caseload, supporting investigating managers and ensuring cases are progressed in line with policy and best practice.
- Develop and review HR policies, processes and standards to ensure compliance with legislation and alignment with organisational needs.
- Support managers in effectively managing attendance, including short-term absence and long-term health conditions, liaising with Occupational Health as required.
- Produce accurate, meaningful HR data and reports to support decision-making across the organisation.
- Facilitate mediation meetings and support wellbeing initiatives across both sites.
- Manage the end of the employee lifecycle with offboarding tasks such as conducting exit interviews, analyse feedback and update payroll.
- Deliver training, presentations and induction modules, coaching managers to build capability and confidence.
- Support your HR colleagues with project work, EDI, employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives as required.

Skills And Experience Required
- Proven and demonstrable HR generalist experience, ideally as a HR Advisor or HR Business Partner or HR Manager.
- Up-to-date knowledge of employment law, HR best practice and its practical application.
- CIPD Level 5 or equivalent.
- Ability to quickly establish credibility and build strong working relationships.
- Confident communicator with excellent verbal and written skills.
- Experience developing policies and supporting organisational change.
- Digitally competent, with experience using HR systems and Microsoft Office.
- Empathetic, organised and calm nature.
