Base: LHR (London Heathrow)
Reports to: Senior HR Business Partner
Salary: £50,000-£55,000 per annum dependent on experience

We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Business Partner to support operational leaders, drive people initiatives, and help shape the employee experience across our airport network.
This is a highly visible role offering the opportunity to influence business performance through people, partnering closely with operational management teams in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
The Role
As an HR Business Partner, you will act as a trusted advisor to Station Managers, Regional Managers, and functional leaders, ensuring that people strategies align with business objectives.
You will play a key role in supporting operational performance, employee engagement, workforce planning, talent development, and employee relations across multiple airport locations. Working as part of the wider HR team, you will help deliver a consistent and commercially focused people agenda while ensuring compliance with employment legislation and company policies.
Given the nature of our operations, regular travel to airport locations across the UK will be required, along with flexibility to support operational needs when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Business Partnering
- Build strong relationships with operational leaders, providing expert HR guidance and support.
- Partner with management teams to identify people-focused solutions that improve operational performance and employee engagement.
- Support the development and delivery of HR strategies aligned to business objectives.
- Contribute to workforce planning, succession planning, and organisational change initiatives.

Employee Relations & Employment Law
- Manage and support complex employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, capability, and investigation processes.
- Coach and develop managers to confidently handle people matters in line with best practice and company standards.
- Ensure compliance with UK employment legislation, mitigating risk while promoting fair and consistent decision-making.
- Support organisational restructuring and change programmes where required.
Talent, Engagement & Retention
- Work closely with the Talent Acquisition team to support recruitment activity and improve attraction strategies across operational sites.
- Identify retention risks and partner with leaders to implement initiatives that improve employee engagement and reduce turnover.
- Champion employee recognition programmes and initiatives that support a positive workplace culture.
- Support the development of high-potential employees and future leaders across the business.
Data, Analytics & Performance
- Produce and analyse HR metrics, KPI reports, and workforce data to identify trends and inform decision-making.
- Provide data-driven insights to operational leaders around absence, turnover, recruitment, engagement, and performance.
- Monitor people-related risks and proactively recommend actions to improve business outcomes.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within HR processes and systems.
HR Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Lead and support HR projects across multiple locations, ensuring successful implementation and measurable outcomes.
- Promote HR best practice and drive consistency across the airport network.
- Encourage effective use of HR systems and employee self-service tools.
- Continually review policies, procedures, and people practices to identify opportunities for improvement.

You are a confident HR professional who enjoys partnering with operational leaders and influencing positive business outcomes through people.
You will possess strong commercial awareness, excellent relationship-building skills, and the ability to balance strategic thinking with a hands-on approach in a fast-moving operational environment.

Essential Skills & Experience
- CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent HR experience.
- Proven experience in an HR Business Partner, Senior HR Advisor, or HR Manager role.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Experience supporting multi-site or operationally focused environments.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex employee relations cases.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret HR data and provide meaningful business insights.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
- High levels of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly.
Desirable
- CIPD Level 7 qualification.
- Experience within aviation, logistics, transport, facilities management, retail, or other fast-paced operational environments.
- Experience supporting large-scale recruitment, mobilisation, or change programmes.
