HR Business Partner
Location: London
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent (5 days in Office) Based in Central London
Reporting To: CEO & Group HR Manager
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Business Partner to join our growing organisation. This is an exciting opportunity for a people-focused HR professional to work closely with senior leadership, providing strategic and operational HR support across the business.
As the HR Business Partner, you will play a key role in driving employee engagement, supporting business objectives, ensuring compliance with UK employment legislation, and delivering best-practice HR initiatives. You will be a trusted advisor to managers and employees, helping to create a positive, high-performing workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
HR Strategy & Business Partnering
- Partner with leadership teams to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, and organisational development.
- Support managers in making effective people management decisions.
Employee Relations & Employee Development
- Act as the first point of contact for HR-related matters and employee relations issues.
- Support and advise managers on disciplinary, grievance, absence management, and capability processes.
- Promote employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives.
- Identify training and development needs and coordinate learning opportunities.

Recruitment & Onboarding
- Manage end-to-end recruitment activities, working with hiring managers and external recruitment partners.
- Develop effective talent acquisition strategies to attract high-quality candidates.
- Ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new employees and support successful integration into the business.
Compliance & HR Administration
- Ensure compliance with UK employment law, company policies, and HR best practices.
- Maintain accurate HR records and documentation.
- Support HR reporting, audits, and compliance requirements.
- Assist with policy development and implementation.
Administration & Operational Support
- Oversee HR administrative processes and support efficient business operations.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external service providers where required.
- Support budget management for HR and administrative activities.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience in an HR Business Partner, Senior HR Advisor, or similar HR generalist role.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practices.
- Experience managing employee relations cases and advising managers.
- Proven recruitment and talent acquisition experience.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
- Ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively with senior leaders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and HR systems.

Desirable
- CIPD Level 5 qualification or above.
- Experience working within engineering, construction, manufacturing, or project-based environments.
- Experience supporting multi-site operations.
