MUFG, a globally respected financial institution, is seeking an HR Central Services Administrator to join their AskHR team in London. This role offers you the opportunity to be part of a centralised HR function dedicated to delivering consistent, high-quality support across the organisation. You will play a pivotal part in enhancing employee experience and streamlining HR processes, enabling HR partners and Centres of Expertise to focus on strategic initiatives. With a strong emphasis on collaboration, accuracy, and client service, this position provides exposure to global HR operations within the finance sector. What you'll do:

  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 1.5 escalation HR support to employees and stakeholders throughout the organisation, managing inquiries with a client-centric approach while escalating complex issues as necessary.
  • Create, assign, escalate, and resolve HR cases in AskHR/Workday according to established standard operating procedures, policies, and service level agreements.
  • Act as a point of contact for HR colleagues within your location, offering guidance on accountable HR case escalations and process adherence.
  • Advise line managers on HR policies and procedures including probation processes, escalating matters to Senior Advisors or Centres of Expertise when appropriate.
  • Support comprehensive employee lifecycle processes such as onboarding, internal transfers (including international), contract changes, promotions, salary adjustments, and leaver processing.
  • Maintain accurate employee data and documentation by ensuring Workday records, personnel files, payroll supporting data, and correspondence are complete, compliant, and current.
  • Triage complex escalations, complaints, and urgent exceptions by serving as a junior escalation point for aligned business areas.
  • Coach employees and managers in using Tier 0 self-service tools, Workday processes, and user guides to enhance efficiency and reduce repeat inquiries.
  • Collaborate with peers by advising and coaching them to build capability and deliver consistent service across the team.
  • Assist with HR audits and compliance activities by liaising with the AskHR Manager or Audit partners and escalating risks or issues promptly.

What you bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in HR administration with at least one year spent handling case management responsibilities within an organisational setting.
  • Proven ability to manage SLA-driven case handling efficiently while maintaining accuracy in documentation and records processing.
  • Experience using Workday HCM for data changes and transaction processing is essential for success in this role.
  • Ability to apply standard operating procedures (SOPs) effectively alongside transaction matrices for required information checks.
  • Exceptional communication skills that enable you to interact considerately with employees at all levels of the organisation.
  • Meticulous attention to detail ensures all records are handled accurately without compromise on compliance standards.
  • Calm approach under pressure allows you to perform well during urgent escalations or complex complaint triaging.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills foster trustful relationships with colleagues across departments.
  • Results-driven mindset paired with accountability ensures tasks are completed reliably within agreed timelines.
  • Preferred: Experience working as an HR Administrator within a global finance organisation enhances your understanding of industry-specific challenge
