Are you an experienced HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can make an immediate impact? Do you enjoy balancing recruitment, payroll and employee relations while delivering exceptional support to managers and colleagues?
We're looking for a proactive and highly organised HR Coordinator to join our HR team on a 12-month maternity cover contract, starting in early November 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to become a key member of a busy HR function, supporting our people and our business.
As this is a fixed-term role, we are ideally looking for someone with a strong HR background who can work confidently with minimal supervision and add value quickly. The role suits someone experienced across Recruitment, Payroll and Employee Relations, and comfortable managing a varied workload from day one.
The Role:
Working closely with our HR Business Partners and HR Administrator, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring our HR operations run smoothly and efficiently.
What You’ll Do:
- Supporting end-to-end recruitment activity, from advertising vacancies to onboarding new starters.
- Delivering a positive recruitment experience for both candidates and hiring managers.
- Supporting payroll processes by maintaining accurate employee records and processing contractual changes.
- Working closely with managers to ensure timely and accurate payroll administration.
- Supporting employee relations processes, including investigations, disciplinary, grievance and absence management procedures.
- Ensuring policies and procedures are applied consistently and professionally.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
