WHO WE ARE...

Globally, we have over 1,200 employees who strategically and creatively connect brands, rights-holders, media platforms and fans across Football, F1, NFL, NBA, Golf, Esports, Olympics, and more.

If you want to help shape the future of the sports industry, then we want to hear from you.

YOUR NEW JOB…

We are looking for an HR Coordinator to join our HR team in Altrincham, Cheshire. This is a hands-on, varied role providing essential support across recruitment, HR systems, data management, payroll administration and wider HR processes, helping to ensure smooth and effective HR operations for SPORTFIVE UK.

While SPORTFIVE is a large global business, the UK operates with the pace, breadth and agility of a growing SME. You’ll be part of a lean HR team of three, supporting over 130 employees across Altrincham, London and Haydock. We work quickly, hold high standards and support a broad range of HR and L&D activity, so you’ll need to enjoy being involved, managing a varied to-do list and helping make things happen.

Our key HR processes, systems and administrative foundations are already well established, creating an opportunity to review how we work today, identify efficiencies and support improvements that help our HR service continue to evolve.

Reporting to the HR Director and working closely with the HR Business Partner, this role would suit a proactive HR professional who is highly organised, detail-focused, confident with process ownership, and able to gather and present information clearly and creatively.

Please note that this is a full-time role & you must be eligible to work in the UK.

AS OUR HR COORDINATOR, YOU WILL...

Enjoy being visible, hands-on and close to the business. Our HR team works directly with managers and employees across all locations. With a mature, talented and professional workforce, our focus is less on reactive employee relations and more on adding value supporting change, improving structure, attracting strong talent, building an inclusive and respectful culture, and helping our people and teams continue to grow.

In a typical week you will...

  • Be the go-to person for HR information, systems and data, including day-to-day ownership of our HR and recruitment system, currently SAP.
  • Support recruitment for a range of senior, specialist and niche roles, working with managers to run an efficient process and deliver a positive candidate experience that reflects our employer brand.
  • Own key employee lifecycle administration, including contracts, contractual changes, onboarding, offboarding, benefits and first-line HR queries.
  • Administer monthly UK payroll, working closely with our payroll provider to ensure accurate and timely processing, and support annual pay review administration.
  • Co-ordinate and help improve key HR processes, including performance management, family leave, absence administration and employee records, ensuring information is accurate, confidential and GDPR compliant.
  • Prepare and present HR data, KPIs and people metrics in a clear and visually engaging way.
  • Develop and maintain the HR SharePoint site as a central source of employee information, while supporting wider HR communications, materials and trackers.
  • Support L&D activity and contribute ideas to local UK and global HR initiatives, including EDI, Employee Forum, Women’s Network, Social Events Forum, Reward and Recognition, Employer Branding and Social Responsibility.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
