HR & Compliance Manager
Kensington, London (with hybrid working)

They are now looking for an HR & Compliance Manager to join them on a permanent, part-time basis, working 8 hours per week.

The Role
As the HR & Compliance Manager, you will lead HR and sponsorship compliance, ensuring our client meets their responsibilities as a Home Office sponsor licence holder.
Acting as the Authorising Officer, you will oversee the Sponsorship Management System and ensure sponsored workers are recruited and managed lawfully. You will maintain accurate records, report relevant changes within required timescales and ensure Certificates of Sponsorship are assigned appropriately.

You will also oversee wider HR compliance, including right-to-work checks, people policies and record-keeping, while supervising external immigration or HR providers.
Additionally, you will:
- Approve Key Contact and Level 1 and Level 2 Users
- Maintain and update the sponsor licence as required
- Prepare for Home Office compliance visits
- Monitor external advisers’ activity on the SMS
- Maintain recruitment and attendance policies
- Ensure required records are maintained for sponsored workers
Please note, some Home Office reporting deadlines are short, so you must be reachable on non-working days for urgent approvals. You must also be able to attend compliance visits at short notice.
About You
To be considered as an HR & Compliance Manager, you will need:
- Experience in HR, operations or compliance, in roles with the authority to make decisions
- Working knowledge of UK right-to-work checks and employment law
- Strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills
- Confidence in overseeing external advisers and challenging their work
Due to your work with the Home Office in this role, you will also need:

- No unspent convictions for relevant offences, such as fraud, immigration offences or money laundering
- No history of civil penalties for illegal working, and not to be linked to a sponsor whose licence was revoked in the last 12 months
- Not to be an undischarged bankrupt or a disqualified director
Please note, the successful candidate will need to complete a basic criminal record (DBS) check and provide right-to-work documents.
