We’re recruiting for an experienced HR Consultant to join a highly regarded professional-services team supporting education-sector clients.
This is a consultative, relationship-led role working with multi-academy trusts, schools and senior education stakeholders. You’ll advise on complex people matters and help clients navigate organisational change.
You will be part of a business that has an extensive track record in building phenomenal HR careers, with many examples of internal promotions and development opportunities across their HR Consultancy structure. The role
- Provide pragmatic HR advice across complex ER matters, including restructures, redundancies, capability and whistleblowing.
- Support senior stakeholders with organisation design, workforce planning, and “size and shape” conversations.
- Build long-term client relationships that drive repeat business.
- Attend networking events and education-focused client activity; this is not a cold-calling role.
- Work closely with an HR Adviser, delegating lower-complexity work where appropriate.
About you
- Strong generalist HR background, ideally gained in education or in an HR consultancy serving education clients.
- Comfortable advising senior stakeholders including CEOs, headteachers and HR leaders.
- Experience of complex ER and organisational change.
- Commercially aware and relationship-led, with confidence representing the business externally.

Package and flexibility
- £50,000–£60,000, plus discretionary annual bonus
- 25 days’ holiday, bank holidays and Christmas closure + holiday purchase scheme
- Private medical insurance
- Hybrid approach: typically 2-3 office days per week and 2-3 home working days
- Term-time, reduced-hours and flexible-working arrangements may be considered.
