HR Consultant – Job Evaluation & Policy
Job Details
Duration: Permanent
Start date: ASAP
Salary: £47,500 per annum
Site presence: Mostly remote (Candidates should expect to attend the office on occasion, including in-person team meetings 2-3 times per year)
Role Details
- Lead and support on Job Evaluation processes, utilise the GLPC job evaluation scheme to evaluate roles, maintain pay equity, and support organizational restructuring.
- Support organisational projects requiring HR, policy, or job evaluation expertise, particularly those shaping workforce culture and structural design.
- Act as a key HR link with managers and key stakeholders to promote consistent, fair, and effective people practices.
- Review and develop robust HR policies to ensure clarity, fairness, and ongoing compliance with employment legislation.
- Provide guidance on complex HR casework, including conduct, performance, attendance, and employee relations.
- Use feedback and workforce information to support decision-making and identify where policy or structural improvements are needed.

Requirements
- Proven and significant local authority expertise is essential for this position.
- Extensive hands-on experience and strong technical knowledge of Job Evaluation schemes, specifically GLPC (Greater London Provincial Council).
- Solid HR background encompassing job evaluation, policy development, and complex casework management.
- CIPD qualification or equivalent professional experience is highly desirable.
