Job Title: HR Coordinator

Location: City of London

Role: Full-time permanent role

Working Arrangement: Hybrid Working (4 days in office)

Salary: Circa £50,000 per annum

The firm

Our client is a prestigious US law firm with a strong international presence and an established London office. The firm is highly regarded for its work on complex, high-profile matters for leading organisations worldwide and offers a collaborative, professional and high-performing environment.

The role

In your new role as an HR Coordinator to join our client’s London office. Working closely with the wider HR team, management and business services departments, you will provide comprehensive HR support across the employee lifecycle and regularly collaborate with colleagues across the firm’s US and European offices.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the onboarding process, including pre-employment screening, background checks, new joiner orientation and maintaining relevant HR trackers.
  • Coordinating immigration, visa and international mobility processes, including sponsorship requirements, international transfers and secondments.
  • Managing general HR administration across the employee lifecycle, including employee records, promotions, transfers, payroll coordination and leaver processes.
  • Coordinating annual performance reviews, probationary reviews and London-based learning and development initiatives.
  • Supporting the administration and renewal of UK benefits and helping to coordinate employee wellbeing initiatives.
  • Assisting with employee relations, absence management and HR policy updates while ensuring sensitive employee information is handled confidentially.

What do you need?

In order to be successful in this role you will need:

  • Generalist HR experience within the legal industry.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative and client-focused approach.
  • A good working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • CIPD qualified or working towards CIPD accreditation is preferred, alongside proficiency in Microsoft Office.
