An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and organised HR Coordinator to join a growing, multi-site business.
This is a varied role covering recruitment, training and development, appraisals, GDPR management, policy reviews, HR documentation and light PA duties.
Location
Derby, with weekly travel to Leeds and Tamworth
Working arrangement
Full-time, permanent and office based
The role will be based in the Derby office and will involve weekly travel to sites in Leeds and Tamworth. A pool vehicle is available for business travel, so a full driving licence is essential.

HR Coordinator Main Duties
- Coordinate recruitment activity, including vacancy administration, candidate communication, and onboarding.
- Prepare and issue employment contracts, employee handbooks, and other HR documentation.
- Coordinate training and development activity and maintain accurate training records.
- Support the appraisal process, including the annual appraisal cycle and associated documentation.
- Manage day-to-day GDPR administration and support the compliant handling of employee data and records.
- Maintain HR policies and coordinate annual policy reviews.
- Provide general HR administration throughout the employee lifecycle and maintain accurate, confidential records.
- Undertake light PA and general administrative duties as required.
- Travel to the Leeds and Tamworth sites each week to provide HR support.
HR Coordinator Necessary Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
- CIPD Level 3 qualification as a minimum, or strong equivalent practical HR experience.
- CIPD Level 5 is desirable, although candidates with CIPD Level 3 and substantial relevant experience will also be considered.
- Around 2 to 3 years' experience in an HR coordination, HR administration, or similar generalist role.
- Experience of recruitment, training administration, appraisals, GDPR, policy management, and employee documentation.
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
- A discreet and trustworthy approach to confidential information.
- A full driving licence and willingness to travel weekly between sites.
