S and B Herba Foods Ltd source and import rice and grains (and other raw materials) from across the globe to produce a wide range of ingredients to the specification of UK manufacturers and wholesalers. About The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic, people-focused HR Coordinator to join our team, reporting directly to the HR Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about people, enjoys variety and wants to build a long-term career in Human Resources whilst helping to create a positive workplace culture.
As our HR Coordinator, you will play an important role in supporting our people, culture and day-to-day operations. This new and varied position combines HR administration, employee engagement and front-of-house responsibilities. Although based at Cambridge, you will also be supporting our Liverpool site.
You will also contribute to our journey towards achieving Investors in People Silver accreditation, helping to shape initiatives that support employee development and engagement.
Key Responsibilities Include
- HR administration: Provide comprehensive support throughout the employee lifecycle and maintain accurate, confidential employee records and documentation.
- Recruitment and onboarding: Support recruitment, onboarding and induction activities.
- Engagement and wellbeing: Coordinate employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives, including projects supporting our Investors in People Silver accreditation.
- Learning and Development Coordination: Support the delivery of the Company's learning and development strategy by coordinating training programmes and courses, maintaining training and skill matrices, tracking completion of mandatory and role-specific training, producing training reports, and promoting continuous professional development opportunities.
- Manager support: Assist managers with HR processes, handling sensitive employee information with discretion and professionalism.
- Continuous improvement: Help improve HR processes and support the HR Manager in terms of the service HR provides to the Company at both sites.
- Front-of-house: Delivering a professional front-of-house reception service, acting as the first point of contact for visitors, employees and external stakeholders. This will include the managing of meeting rooms, post and couriers.

About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Is passionate about building a career in Human Resources
- Has a university degree in Human Resources or a related discipline, or is keen to pursue an HR degree or professional qualification, such as CIPD, whilst working
- Is highly organised and has excellent attention to detail
- Handles confidential information with integrity and discretion
- Communicates confidently and enjoys working with people at all levels
