About The Opportunity
Are you an HR professional looking for a role where you can broaden your experience, work closely with managers and become genuinely involved in the day-to-day people agenda?
We are recruiting for an established organisation with a nationwide presence that is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and capable HR Coordinator to join their established HR function.
This is a varied role offering exposure across the employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding through to employee relations, performance, absence and general HR support. You’ll work closely with managers across the business, providing practical HR support and helping to ensure people processes are handled professionally, consistently and effectively.
It’s an excellent opportunity for someone who already has a good HR foundation and wants to develop their knowledge and responsibility within a broader HR environment.
The Role
Responsibilities
You’ll become a key point of contact for employees and managers, supporting a wide range of HR activity across the business. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting managers with day to day HR queries, providing practical guidance and escalating more complex matters where appropriate.
- Assisting with employee relations activity including investigations, disciplinary and grievance processes, absence management and performance concerns.
- Attending HR meetings, taking accurate and confidential minutes and preparing correspondence, meeting documentation and outcome letters.
- Coordinating recruitment activity from vacancy approval and advertising through to interviews, offers and onboarding.
- Building positive relationships with hiring managers and ensuring candidates receive a professional experience throughout the recruitment process.
- Managing new starter and leaver processes, including contracts, references, right to work checks, HR system updates and exit documentation.
- Maintaining accurate employee records and ensuring changes to contracts, salaries and personal details are processed correctly.
- Supporting the delivery of HR policies, procedures and initiatives across the wider business.
- Preparing HR reports, management information and documentation for internal requirements, PQQs and tender submissions.
- Supporting HR projects and process improvements, looking for ways to make the employee experience and HR service more effective.
- Handling employee queries professionally and sensitively, ensuring confidentiality is maintained at all times.
- Working collaboratively with managers and colleagues across the organisation to ensure HR processes are applied consistently and effectively.
- Keeping up to date with employment legislation and HR best practice and supporting the wider team with compliance.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
