Job Description

The HROD Service delivers a comprehensive and customer-centric professional service across the council in accordance with relevant employment related legislation, guidance, policies and best practice.
We are looking for an HR professional, to join our HR Consultancy team, who is committed to excellence in their work with a passion for HR and a commitment to continuous improvement in service delivery. This role offers a unique opportunity to firmly establish and develop your HR career while contributing to the delivery of our professional HR consultancy service.
You will be the first point of contact, triaging enquiries from our customers/employees and supporting the HROD function. You will work as part of a team performing a range of HROD activities as well as assisting with managing HROD projects that will support the delivery of the People Strategy.

Work will include support to HR Consultancy, Pay & Reward including Job Evaluation, HR policy, terms and conditions and workforce data and intelligence.
There will also be opportunities to support the wider HROD team.
We would prefer that you have attained or are studying towards a relevant HR CIPD qualification, and/or have recent experience in providing HR support, as well as the analysis of workforce data, interpreting employment legislation and terms and conditions, in a HR environment.
Ideally you will have some knowledge of the key issues facing local government and of national and local conditions of service.
This post is a flexible worker post, with the employee working remotely, with some collaborative working in the workplace on a weekly basis.
