Job Description
We are seeking an experienced HR Data Analyst SAP Payroll Implementation to play a key role in the successful implementation of SAP Payroll across the business. Working closely with Payroll, HR, Finance, IT and external partners, you will ensure the accuracy, integrity and seamless migration of employee and payroll data, helping to deliver a compliant and efficient payroll solution.
This is an exciting opportunity for a data-driven professional with strong payroll expertise to contribute to a high-profile transformation programme. You will use your analytical skills to identify data issues, support testing activities, provide meaningful insights and help ensure a successful payroll go-live.
This is a 12 month FTC position working hybrid from our Horsforth office. Our ideal start would be the end of October.

Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse, cleanse and validate payroll and employee data to ensure accuracy and integrity throughout the SAP Payroll implementation.
- Support data migration activities, including data extraction, transformation, loading (ETL), mapping and reconciliation between legacy and SAP systems.
- Develop and execute data validation processes, identifying and resolving data quality issues, discrepancies and anomalies.
- Support System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Parallel Payroll Testing, ensuring payroll calculations and outputs are accurate.
- Produce and maintain project dashboards, data quality reports and management information to support programme governance.
- Collaborate with Payroll, HR, Finance, IT and external implementation partners to deliver project milestones and resolve data-related issues.
- Ensure payroll data is managed in line with GDPR, payroll legislation, HMRC requirements and company governance standards.
- Provide analytical insights, recommendations and risk assessments to support decision-making and ensure successful project delivery.

Key Requirements:
- Significant experience working with payroll data, payroll systems and payroll processes.
- Previous experience supporting a payroll implementation, migration or transformation project.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify, investigate and resolve complex data issues.
- Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, Power Query and complex formulas, with intermediate SQL capability.
- Experience conducting data validation, reconciliation and payroll testing activities (SIT, UAT and parallel runs).
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and organisational skills, with a strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
