HR Systems & Digital Lead

HRLife are working with a highly successful, mid-sized global business to find an HR Systems & Digital lead to join their collaborative HR team and help shape the next chapter of their HR technology journey.

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who combines strong technical SuccessFactors expertise with the ability to see the bigger picture and set and deliver the HR digital strategy.

SuccessFactors is already in place, but there’s a real opportunity to make much better use of it. As the system is currently being used relatively lightly and there is a real opportunity to get solid foundations in place, automate and enhance the way things are done.

This will be about understanding what's there today, identifying where processes can be improved and digitalised, and making much better use of the technology already available. The existing role profile covers configuration, testing, reporting and data integrity within SuccessFactors, alongside eliminating manual processes through automation and workflow optimisation.

This will be a hands-on role. You'll need to be someone who is comfortable getting into the back end of SuccessFactors yourself - configuring the system, troubleshooting issues and working through how it can be adapted to better support the HR team and wider business.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You'll lead a small team, but this isn't a role where you simply set the strategy and hand the technical work to somebody else. We're looking for an HR systems specialist who enjoys rolling their sleeves up and getting into the detail, while also having the capability to step back and think about what the HR technology landscape should look like in two, three or five years' time.

There is plenty to build towards. Longer term, the agenda will move into further optimisation of SuccessFactors, automation, digital employee experience and the opportunities presented by AI. The original remit has considerable ambition around all of these areas, but there is a recognition that you can't jump straight to the shiny new technology without first getting the fundamentals working really well.

Just as importantly, this isn't purely a technical role.

You'll be working closely with colleagues across HR and the wider organisation, understanding what isn't working, challenging where appropriate and bringing people with you as ways of working change. So, alongside your systems knowledge, you'll enjoy building credible relationships, working collaboratively and translating technical possibilities into something meaningful for HR colleagues and the business.
