HR Director
Hybrid role with travel to sites when necessary
We’re looking for an HR Director for our Pasquill business (part of Saint-Gobain UK & Ireland).
Pasquill is at an exciting point in its journey, with significant transformational change underway across the business. As HR Director, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping that future, ensuring our people strategy enables sustainable growth, organisational effectiveness, and high performance.
Partnering closely with the Managing Director and Senior Leadership Team, you'll lead the People and Organisational Development agenda, driving workforce planning, leadership capability, employee engagement, and talent development. This is a strategic role with the opportunity to influence key business decisions, support organisational change, and ensure our people and culture remain a source of competitive advantage.
This is a hybrid role and can be based out of Binley, East Leake or Chorley. At times you’ll be where the business needs you, so the ability to travel across the UK is required.
What we’re looking for:
- Senior HR leadership experience in a complex operational, manufacturing, construction products or multi-site environment.
- Strong practical knowledge of UK employment law, collective and individual consultation, employee relations and organisational change.
- Proven ability to influence senior leaders and translate business strategy into clear people priorities and deliverables.
- Experience of leading and developing HR professionals, setting standards and creating accountability for delivery.
- Commercial judgement, data literacy and confidence using HR metrics to identify risks, trends and improvement opportunities.
- Excellent communication, consultation, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- CIPD qualification or equivalent senior-level HR experience is desirable.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
