Experienced HR Director

We're seeking an experienced HR Director to partner with senior leaders across our global business and help shape the talent, leadership, and organizational strategies that drive growth, client excellence, and commercial success. This is a unique opportunity for a strategic HR leader who thrives in highly matrixed, international environments and enjoys influencing executive stakeholders through insight, data, and thoughtful partnership.

As HR Director you will serve as a trusted advisor to leaders, helping to build high-performing teams, strengthen leadership capability, and create organizational structures that support growth and innovation. Your work will directly influence business performance, client satisfaction, leadership effectiveness, and the future direction of our organization.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Group & Global Businesses

You will join a global team of HR professionals supporting more than 8,000 employees across 40 countries.

What Your Impact Is

In this highly strategic role, you will:

  • Shape and execute people strategies that enable commercial growth, client service excellence, digital transformation, and new business models.
  • Strengthen leadership pipelines and account management capabilities through targeted talent and development initiatives.
  • Use workforce analytics and business insights to guide performance, compensation, workforce planning, and organizational decisions.
  • Partner with executive leaders to improve organizational effectiveness and drive sustainable business performance.
  • Support the attraction, onboarding, and integration of senior leaders and Partners into ERM's global culture.
  • Lead complex organizational change, restructuring, and employee relations initiatives across multiple geographies.
  • Bring innovative people solutions that help ERM remain competitive in a rapidly evolving global marketplace.

Required

  • Significant experience partnering with Executive Leadership teams and senior commercial stakeholders.
  • Proven success developing and implementing global people strategies aligned to business objectives.
  • Experience operating within complex, multinational, and matrixed organizations.
  • Advanced capability in workforce analytics, HR data interpretation, and translating insights into business decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and coach senior leaders on organizational effectiveness, talent, and performance.
  • Experience leading talent management, succession planning, and performance processes at scale.
  • Strong change management and organizational design expertise.
  • Track record of managing sensitive and complex employee relations matters.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Knowledge of global employment practices and employment law considerations.

Preferred

  • Experience supporting commercial, consulting, professional services, account management, or client-facing organizations.
  • Background working in a globally distributed workforce across multiple regions and cultures.
  • Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, and post-acquisition integration activities.
  • Familiarity with leadership development and capability-building programs.
  • Experience partnering with Learning & Development and Talent Acquisition teams on strategic workforce initiatives.
  • Coaching and mentoring experience for senior HR professionals and business leaders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with leaders to develop and execute people strategies that enable business growth and client success.
  • Drive organizational design and effectiveness initiatives that improve performance and scalability.
  • Lead talent and performance management processes to ensure strong succession pipelines and future leadership capability.
  • Analyze workforce and commercial performance data to provide strategic recommendations and actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with Learning & Development to design interventions that strengthen leadership and account management capabilities.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to attract, assess, onboard, and integrate senior leaders and Partners.
  • Develop workforce plans and retention strategies for high-growth and critical capability areas.
  • Lead organizational change initiatives, restructures, and transformation programs across multiple regions.
  • Manage complex employee relations matters and provide expert guidance on risk mitigation and compliance.
  • Partner with HR Centers of Excellence to deliver innovative solutions across talent, learning, rewards, careers, and employee experience.
  • Monitor external market trends and provide thought leadership to both HR and business leaders.
  • Ensure operational HR excellence and compliance across the Global Clients & Services organization.
  • Provide mentorship, coaching, and leadership support across the broader HR team.
  • Act as a deputy for the Senior Director, Group & Global Businesses when required.
