Location: UK based, supporting global teams
Job status: Maternity cover – 12 months
Reports to: SVP, HR

JOB PURPOSE

The HR Director is a senior people leader and trusted partner to the leadership teams across two key areas of Hyve’s business.

Working closely with senior leaders you will help shape and deliver the people strategy needed to achieve ambitious business goals. You will bring a global mindset, strong commercial judgement and a clear focus on culture, leadership, talent and high performance.

You will challenge and support leaders to build brilliant teams, make great people decisions and create environments where our people can do their best work – ensuring that as our businesses grow and evolve, our culture remains a real competitive advantage.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic People Leadership

  • Act as a trusted adviser, coach and constructive challenger to senior leaders
  • Translate business priorities and growth ambitions into focused people strategies that drive performance.
  • Bring commercial judgement, people insight and a strong organisational perspective to senior-level decision-making.

Culture & High Performance

  • Champion Hyve’s culture, aligning our people to the ‘why’ and ensuring our values are reflected in how we lead, work and make decisions.
  • Partner with leaders to create high-performing environments with clear expectations, strong accountability and a growth mindset.
  • Use employee insight and organisational data to identify opportunities to strengthen engagement, culture and performance.

Leadership, Talent & Organisation

  • Build leadership capability, coaching senior leaders to lead their people and teams with clarity, confidence and impact.
  • Lead talent and succession planning, ensuring strong pipelines for critical roles and opportunities for our best people to grow.
  • Shape organisation design and workforce capability to ensure the businesses have the right structure, talent and skills for the future.

Change & Growth

  • Lead the people agenda through growth, transformation and organisational change, anticipating implications and opportunities early.
  • Support leaders to bring their teams through change with clarity, pace and effective communication.
  • Ensure organisational change is commercially sound, well executed and balances business outcomes, employee experience and risk.

People Leadership & Partnership

  • Provide senior-level judgement on complex people matters, balancing commercial priorities, culture, employee experience and risk.
  • Partner across the wider People team to deliver a joined-up, high-quality experience for leaders and employees across our global teams.
  • Play an active leadership role within the Hyve People team, contributing to Group-wide priorities and continually raising the impact of the function.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Significant experience operating as an HR Director, senior HR Business Partner or equivalent within a fast-paced, commercially driven global organisation.
  • A strong track record of partnering with and influencing senior leaders, with the confidence to coach, challenge and shape decision-making.
  • Strong experience across culture, leadership, talent, succession, organisation design and complex organisational change.
  • Commercially astute and pragmatic, with the ability to translate business strategy into clear people priorities and outcomes.
  • Experience supporting international or geographically dispersed teams, alongside strong UK employment law knowledge.
  • An engaging, credible leader who combines strategic thinking with the energy and drive to make things happen.
  • CIPD qualified or equivalent senior-level HR experience.
